Bringing the community together 1 byte at a time. Developer, Entrepreneur, and hobbyist workshop creator. I have been developing for going on 17 years in various languages and different domains. I am the guy you ask for your CSS box alignment issues, javascript events not catching or firing twice. I am the guy who gets asked, Ruby/Python vs Java/C#. I also spend a lot of time helping and teaching others. I have hosted many workshops in Hong Kong related to Development and Digital Marketing.
Lavine Hemlani - Founder and CEO at Accelerate
Lavine is passionate about eliminating the financial barrier between education and opportunity for motivated learners to unleash their potential. Prior to Accelerate, Lavine co-founded FLYR and worked with deep learning start-up Thread Genius. Lavine began his career in investment banking in NYC at Lazard M&A and held roles at the following funds: Atlas, Marwar Capital and Union Park Capital.
Janet Wu - Director of People at Aftership
Janet began career in New Zealand as a interpreter travelling with senior management on business development trips throughout China and Asia Pacific. Sought further development in market research before becoming "right-hand" to C-level executives for listed corporations.
Her journey as human capital development and management specialist began with one of the world’s largest international talent acquisition firms and later transitioned to build an even stronger focus in the legal sector and investment banking arena.
She is currently putting all her super powers and breadth of skills to great use as Director of People (and Chief Entertainment Officer!) at AfterShip.
Velina Veleva - Program Associate at SuperCharger Fintech Accelerator
Graduated with a BSc in Business Management from King’s College London, Velina has a wide experience working in various segments of the financial industry. Starting as a business consultant in Hong Kong, she then transferred her interest and skills into fintech business building, working as an Associate in London for The Disruptive Group and later on creating the first digital asset bank. Supercharger HK is where her passion for innovation and drive to support start ups’ growth met.
