Soundbrenner's mission is to bring great design and advanced technology to every musician on the planet, by combining wearable music tools with great software. This product ecosystem is designed to be used every single time music is made anywhere. To date, Soundbrenner sold and shipped over 60,000 wearables, which are available in music stores in over 40 countries. Soundbrenner's apps were downloaded over 3 million times and are currently used by over 500,000 musicians every month.

 

Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a highly capable and motivated individual to join the sales & marketing team of one of the most successful music tech start-ups in Hong Kong. Your mission would be to win and drive growth on our 3rd party marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Lazada etc). This will be all about growth and you’ll be responsible for developing the strategy, executing and following up. Set your own budgets and scale. The role will require a competitive mentality, you’ll need to have that killer instinct to win. You’ll need to be creative, fast and responsible. You’ll need to understand online marketing and how to grow online. Plan, execute, follow-up and scale. The opportunity is there; are you ready to cease it?

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the overall business for Soundbrenner on our 3rd party marketplaces with the objective of growing the business both in terms of topline revenue but also bottom-line profitability.
  • Oversee and optimize product listings through know-how concerning keyword research, marketplace algorithm, and product search rankings. All to maximize revenue(Amazon, eBay, Reverb, Lazada, Newegg).
  • Monitor competitive listings and understand how to always stay on top.
  • Analyze and compare past and current sales to develop and implement strategies to meet growth objectives. It’s all about growth.
  • Define Strategies to increase listing visibility and traffic through marketplace tools, promotions, and product sponsorships
  • Generate customer reviews, and monitor ratings to protect and enhance marketplace status
  • Improve listing conversion rate, sales, impressions, CTR, selling fees, etc
  • Stay educated and up to speed on ever changing marketplace and technology opportunities.   
  • Review performance of promotional campaigns and optimize to increase overall sales. Design, implement, test and scale PPC campaigns to achieve positive ROI.

 

What we’re looking for (hard skills):

  • Spot on if you have demonstrable success in dealing with marketplace platforms, in particular, Amazon and eBay.
  • If you don’t have marketplace experience, maybe you have 2-3 years’ experience in online marketing, retail eCommerce or category insights management.
  • A digital native with a killer sales instinct.
  • Experience with analytics and reporting software preferred
  • Google Analytics and Google AdWords preferred
  • Previous experience managing a budget

  • Analytical thinker with strong commercial instincts
  • Self-motivated and hard-working
  • Curious about tech and digital in general. Loves to test new digital marketing tools
  • Great communicator & team player
  • You’re fluent in English.  Additional languages are a huge plus 

Mega-bonuses:

  • You’re a musician
  • Technical skills - e.g. javascript/HTML/CSS/Scripting/Scraping/Python/Wordpress
  • Design skills: Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator
  • Some background in Music hardware/IOT Products
