We believe that in high-school, students can greatly reduce their time in preparing for exams given the right teacher and a systematic way of studying by mastering materials through pre-recorded video lectures at Kosmic; we imagine school teachers in the future taking up the role of hyper-personalizing education through identifying students' strengths and weaknesses, and answering students' questions in an interactive manner. Our first step is building an on-demand examination-oriented video streaming service for high-school students.

We are building a Business Development team from ground up and now looking for a talented self-starter with ambition and drive to accelerate progress on our product and commercial partnerships worldwide. Our product needs to handle and organize knowledge under rapid growth; our goal is to identify, develop and execute strategic agreements worldwide to support our mission. As a Business Development Manager, you will be the key to identify and exploit opportunities to grow our usage, learning effectiveness and revenue while keeping learners’ best interest in mind as we continue to push humanity forward.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute on our global partnership strategy & roadmap with the goals of increasing usage, learning effectiveness and revenue with aligning with our short-term strategies and priorities.
- Identify and assess potential partners, define business model, structure & negotiate mutually beneficial partnership agreements.
- Understand and secure external resources to achieve our short-term and long-term goals.
- Manage relationships with key partners.
- Build relationships with key leaders across education, technology, and other key sectors.
- Provide feedback to our Product and Operations team on features that are strong sellers as well as features not meeting expectations of our partners.
- Push to close and successfully execute deals. Consistently exploring opportunities to deliver the best educational experience for our learners and teachers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for innovative consumer technology products and education.
- Experience in Business Development, Management or similar demanding role.
- Experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital is a plus.
- Skilled at negotiation, relationship management, and project management.
- Excellent creativity, strategic thinking skills, data analysis and business acumen.
- Insights and interested in Technology or Education sector strongly preferred.
- Willing to get into the finest details and get things done.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with senior executives of partner organizations.
- Commitment to high working standards and pushing for constant operational innovation.
- High-energy self-starter with a passion for your work, tolerance for ambiguity in a fast-paced setting, and a strong willingness to learn and synthesize information at anytime.
