Opportunity
 
Employ is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Hong Kong and help expand the business by attracting leading Tier-1 brands in industries such as Food & Beverage, Retail, Hospitality, and Health & Wellness. You will have an opportunity to work closely with the CEO (previously from Google and a Vice President from Morgan Stanley) and be part of one of the fastest growing teams and products on the market. You will be taking on a high level of responsibility and will have the opportunity to grow within the organization to become the regional Head of Sales in the future. 
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Work closely with the CEO in understanding the client and industry landscape of Hong Kong and identify key tier-1 customers
  • Analyze market data and categorize new and existing business opportunities and be methodical in your approach in connecting with said clients
  • Reaching out to key decision makers of Tier-1 brands such as Mandarin Oriental, W Hotel, Cathay Pacific, Nike, Starbucks, Pure Gym, etc. and build a strong connection and show them the value of our core product and its offerings
  • Maintaining relationships with our client partners and actively monitoring their needs and how best to improve them
  • Ability to make cold calls, cold emails, and walk-ins, especially the ability to schedule in-person meetings and convince clients of the value our product can provide to their hiring and team management needs
  • Analyze your own sales performance and compare it with the team's benchmarks to improve all aspects of the sales funnel on a weekly basis
  • Log engagements and sales processes efficiently and accurately into team's CRM
Required Skills
 
  • Client facing personality that is a combination of maturity, creativity, confidence, and energy
  • Core confidence in believing in yourself and be able to tackle the needs of a tough customer from various angles
  • A personality that "Gets Stuff Done" and "Gets To Solutions" on a daily basis
  • Be creative in understanding how to reach out to potential customers and use data to your best advantage to make the sales process easier
  • Self-motivated and someone who can be in front of senior executives from leading brands and work independently from the team while in meetings
  • Understands the culture of our company and realize that every team member wears multiple hats and that the team relies on each other on a daily basis
  • Be a quick learner and with an open mind to absorb learnings from the CEO and other sales members of the team to improve on a daily basis
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese

As for the core team's background, our CEO, Sherjan Husainie, was one of the original members of Google's late-stage investment arm CapitalG (www.CapitalG.com) in San Francisco, and has spent rest of his career in Technology Investment Banking and PE/VC Coverage at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco and Hong Kong. Our Co-Founder and CTO, Amsul Naeem, is a winner of Top Developer 30 under 30 and was previously the lead developer at PumpUp. Our first junior hire Amy Xiao is our Product Specialist and also a winner of Top Developer 30 under 30 with prior experience at Amazon AWS and RBC Machine Learning.

Compensation
 
Very generous and competitive base salary plus additional commission for closed deals with customers

Salary

Salary range / month :  HK$ 20k-40k
