Overview
The Finance and Admin Executive reports directly to the General Manager (Hong Kong) and is crucial part of the Chope office. They will assist in the client billing process, manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, and support the annual audit process in tandem with the corporate head office. They will be responsible for administrating internal HR processes such as compensation and pay roll, and liaising with our outsourced accountants. They will work closely with the sales team, and will be relied upon to ensure that Chope Hong Kong runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role wears many hats, and it requires someone that is diligent, good with numbers, Excel, and that isn't afraid to ask questions. On the flip side, the Chope Hong Kong team is energetic, vibrant, and determined to introduce a new word into the Hong Kong vocabulary! Responsibilities
- Manage the client billing process
- Manage Accounts Receivable by compiling and issuing monthly invoices, as well as managing outstanding invoices and overdue payments
- Manage Accounts Payable through expense processing, invoice filing, and ensuring payment to suppliers
- Liaising with our outsourced accountants, ensuring that they have all relevant information promptly and accurately
- Oversee the annual audit process with support from the corporate head office
- Ensure that all internal and external finance-related requests are responded to promptly and accurately
- Ensure that the Chope office has supplies at par level at all times
- Administrate payroll, benefits, and other internal HR processes
- Assist the General Manager with any ad hoc projects
Skills, Experience & Traits
- Fluent spoken and written Cantonese
- Working proficiency in English
- Knowledge of basic account principles
- Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Windows and Office suite of software; familiarity with Excel pivot tables, look-up functions, and formulas is a must
- Able to meet tight deadlines and produce work with quick turnaround
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and conscientious
- Independent and result-driven mind set
While not required, the following skills/experience will be favourably considered
- At least 1 year in an in-house accounting role
- Basic knowledge of Hong Kong accounting and tax processes
- Basic knowledge of IFRS (international accounting standards)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks
