Responsibilities:
- Work closely with existing legal counsel and related parties to manage transactions through documentation phase to closing;
- Support the management team in legal matters
- Draft and review a full range of commercial and legal documents, including non-disclosure agreements, development agreements, work-for-hire agreements, distribution and licensing agreements
- Maintain up-to-date filing system and database;
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders;
- Conduct research and liaise with external counsel in all relevant jurisdictions;
- Assist in ad-hoc assignments and operational legal matters;
- Supporting company secretarial matters;
- Managing our IP portfolio and liaising with external law firms in registering IP rights in various jurisdictions and dealing with IP infringements
Requirements:
Between 2- 4 years' PQE or minimum 3-5 years' paralegal experience gained with a reputable law firm or in-house environment;
Hands-on experience in contract drafting and negotiating with minimal supervision;
Meticulous and attention to detail;
Experience with corporate governance and regulatory compliance requirements;
Exposure and track record in corporate, licensing matters with some knowledge in intellectual property;
Candidates must also demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be positive, adaptable, detail-minded and a team player;
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English; Mandarin and Cantonese a plus but not necessary;
Willing to work overtime when required and able to work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines
