MARKETING INTERN OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a smart passionate person to work closely with us to help Asia Sports Tech’s marketing, communication and digital media activities. We offer either short term (3 month) or longer term (4+ month) internships. You will play an important role in our business and will immediately have exposure to the world of sports, esports, health and wellbeing with significant hands on work experience. Ideally, you'll be one year away from graduating and starting to think about your career options. If you can showcase your talents well, we will want to bring you in as a paid employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will dive in from day one.
· Play an important role as part of the AST team providing support for a wide variety of marketing, communication, and digital marketing functions to build awareness of the company and partners’ activities.
· Support the team to create and execute different elements of the marketing calendar including creating content for the website, social media, presentations, reports, newsletter, and events.
· Support marketing activations and offline events including industry events and trade shows
· Analyse, interpret and make recommendations to improve the success of social media and PR campaigns.
· Supporting Founders, the marketing co-ordinaor and other team members with their ad-hoc daily responsibilities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
· Current university student enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
· A proactive attitude with the capacity to work independently in a face-paced environment with a wide variety of team members
· Knowledge of or passion for sports, esports, fitness, health & wellness
· A storyteller who loves to write and communicate
· A solid understanding of copywriting, marketing, media, graphic design, and digital marketing including social media, email marketing, analytics and SEO.
· Familiarity with the production of and creative planning for content for social media platforms
· Ideally some experience working with or managing social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, WeChat and Weibo and email marketing platforms.
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
· Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator – an “artistic” eye is a plus.
· Experience with various WordPress functions including website content creation, blogs/article publishing and maintenance.
· Strong problem solving and lateral thinking skills with attention to detail, high standards of excellence
· Strong business language skills including spoken and written English with Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese Chinese also required
· Provide translations (English/Chinese) for marketing materials, including but not limited to social media content, email communications, reports and newsletters.
· The ability to work in Hong Kong.
