An independent, multi-disciplinary design studio incubating projects, and producing a wide range of work primarily centred around transformation. Founded by Jonathan Riss, Jay Ahr explores the fusion of artisanal techniques, creative design, local culture, and modern technology across a variety of mediums to craft unique pieces that always have a story to tell.
Although varied in both discipline and scope - with projects in vintage luxury, art, industrial design and architecture - the philosophy behind Jay Ahr remains consistent with the values of always seeking to push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship while respecting the need to be environmentally responsible and culturally aware.

The Role
The main requirement of the role is to deliver sales by: working with existing channel partners; developing new channel partners; and most importantly, building a network of direct clients. You will communicate with team members to always understand what is happening inside and outside of the studio and to be constantly aware of new trends as well as new products becoming available.
Your primary focus will be to drive sales and work with the management team to scale the business quickly. An important part of this will be to develop excellent sales reporting and performance data analysis skills as well as to become an expert in our sector or the market.
Initiative, organisation and attention to detail are essential in this role. We expect you to be capable of using digital management tools and to be prepared to always update your knowledge. You will need to be reactive and flexible.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is ambitious, self-motivated, a quick learner and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and pitch in. Initiative and thinking outside the box will be key.
You should be a digital native and comfortable working with online platforms, social media, e-commerce and m-commerce. A good knowledge of the global luxury an dart market is a definite bonus.
Most of all, you should have your eye on developing trends in luxury, art, social media and technology and be interested in transitioning into a leadership role to grow and manage a dynamic business unit.
Core Responsibilities
· Manage and collaborate with local and international sales channels
· Identify new business opportunities and develop new sales channels
· Ensure customer expectations are met by maintaining the highest customer service quality standard
· Formulate sales and partnership initiatives for various projects
· Maintain relationships with private clients to approach with new products
· Communicate with channels frequently to understand changing demands of customers
· Provide sales insights to internal teams to further develop products
· Assist with the planning and execution of sales and marketing initiatives
· Work with design and operations teams to ensure prompt delivery of purchases
· Provide regular sales reports and performance analysis
Core Requirements
· 3+ years of related work experience
· Solid track record in sales / business development
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Fluent in English, bilingual Cantonese / Mandarin a very strong bonus
· Good understanding of e-commerce / m-commerce platforms, with related experience a strong bonus
· Highly organised with an eye for detail
· Able to use digital platforms, with experience of inventory management systems a bonus
· Pro-active and willing to take on new responsibilities
· A good team player, able to build relationships within a multi-cultural environment
· Proficiency in MS Office a must, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite a strong bonus
Education
· University degree is preferable but not mandatory
