The Company
We are the first equity crowd funding platform servicing Professional Investors to be licensed by the SFC.
The Role
The successful candidate will assist the management and Responsible Officers of the Company to ensure that all business practices comply with SFC requirements under the licenses held by the Company. Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the onboarding of Professional Investors (as defined by the SFC) to the platform, including KYC
- Overseeing the maintenance of all records of said Professional Investors
- Maintaining and updating the compliance policies and Compliance Manual of the company to meet the most recent SFC standards
- Support and review the operations of the Company to ensure proper internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide compliance training to staff where required
- Coordinate with other department heads and outside service providers to ensure compliance standards are maintained
- Liaise with the SFC, including regular reporting where required
Requirements
The qualified candidate will possess a university degree or higher in legal, accounting or related disciplines, have at least five years' experience working in a compliance role preferably in an Private Equity or Venture Capital environment, possess a strong understanding of Private Equity and Startup investments, and have familiarity with SFC rules and regulations. Prior work with the SFC is a plus.
