Summary of the Position
AMPD Energy is seeking a talented and passionate individual to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement a world class assembly, configuration, and test process and to localize this process to multiple global sites. You will be working closely with leaders and teams in R&D, Field Engineering, and Supply Chain to assess the current state and develop plans for standardization and improvement and then implement. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement and excited about the opportunity to manage a process at multiple sites.
We are specifically looking for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented, and dependable. Ideally you have extensive experience in Process Management and a strong background in Lean-Six Sigma principles, Quality Tools, and best practices. This is a leadership role and so you must have specific leadership experience and outstanding leadership qualities. You will be expected to work well independently and to communicate clearly and effectively in English and preferably also Chinese.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
· Higher diploma or bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of Process or Manufacturing Management experience.
· Great planning skills, and excellent project and time management track record.
· Experience with Lean & Six Sigma principles. Experience with Quality Control in a manufacturing environment.
· Knowledge of and practice with the basic Quality Tools, 8D problem solving, SPC, ANOVA, GR&R, PPAP, Cpk analysis, and other common measurement and analytical tools.
· Great documentation, presentation, and report writing skills.
· Background in industrial and/or electrical workplace safety is a huge plus.
· Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
· Self-motivated, detailed oriented, organized.
· Good command of spoken and written English, and ideally Chinese.
Specific duties include:
· Manage the assembly and configuration process for the company’s products and be responsible for reporting implementation status, creating and maintaining process documentation such as Process Control Plans and Work Instructions.
· Ensure internal and external documentation meets requirements for compliance, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
· Work effectively and constructively within the company’s Quality Management System
· Continue to keep up to date with latest developments in all relevant standards.
· Provide periodic training for the internal team and suppliers on the assembly process and Process Management.
· Participate in new product development to ensure Assembly and manufacturing issues are addressed throughout the development process and all stakeholders understand requirements from the beginning.
