Alam is a startup founded by a group of Indonesian with diverse backgrounds who have the vision to make our community one step closer to net-zero by supporting standardized green projects. We have a vision for everyone to calculate, track and offset their carbon footprint by financially supporting green projects on our platform. Ultimately, we envision taking part in accelerating the decarbonization process in Indonesia and supporting the government to reach net zero by 2060.
We arise from the realization that Net zero lifestyle is practically impossible to achieve by anyone as there are enormous GHG emissions within our reach, such as GHG emissions associated with grid electricity or the food we consume. Therefore Alam is here as a one-stop decarbonization platform with three fundamental principles: reduce, calculate and offset. By partnering up with restaurants and shops we give positive reinforcement to people for reducing their carbon through sustainable action. Alam also provides a personal carbon calculator for our user to calculate and track their unavoidable lifestyle emissions. Ultimately, Alam will facilitate our users to achieve net zero lifestyles by financially supporting our diverse options of standardized green projects listed in our marketplace.
