In conjunction with 2019 Hong Kong Fintech Week and Hong Kong’s Legal Week 2019 called by the Hong Kong Law Society, Asian Institute of International Financial Law (AIIFL), Fintech Association of Hong Kong, the APAC Regtech Network (comprising the Regtech Committees of the Fintech Associations of Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia) and ACMI cordially invite regtechs from around the world to come to Hong Kong to meet with regulators, regulated entities and advisors to share their innovative technological solutions to improve efficiencies and to combat financial crime at
World Regtech Summit@HK on November 5, 2019 (Tuesday)
On his first day as HKMA Chief Executive on October 2, 2019, Eddie Yue highlighted that “HKMA will strengthen the collaboration between banks and technology companies in fostering a more diversified ecosystem for regulatory technology, or RegTech, which will help reduce compliance costs with the aid of technology”.
Regtech is the secret sauce that can assist financial institutions, fintechs and virtual asset service providers alike and many regulators around the world are encouraging adoption of such responsible innovation.
