| Host Background |
Bill is a Hong Kong serial entrepreneur, founded eight startups in: Silicon Valley, Toronto, New York, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Bill has spent 20 years in Toronto Canada, educated at RCM in Classical Music Analysis and University of Toronto in Economics.
Leon, one of the co-founders of Stryde App, is not just an avid gym goer but also a serial founder. He graduated from Imperial College London with Biotechnology degree, his first start up experience was when he got funded by the college for his BioMilk project – production of milk without cows through genetic engineering of yeasts. There he learnt the importance of practical management skills in an early stage start-up company; such as how to get the product to market and not just over-investing resources in building the product.
Stryde is now Leon’s third venture, his main role is to oversee product development and fund raising. Having been to the gym consistently 8 hours a week for 8 years, with more than 3000 hours of gym time under his (lifting) belt, he believes that any true accomplishments comes from persistency and passion.
Alex, one of the two Co-Founders of STRYDE, is responsible for the marketing and branding of the up-and-coming fitness mobile platform.
Alex found his passion in both fitness and marketing after moving to the U.K. to study, having been drafted to his high school’s rugby team and also opting in for business studies - the rest was history.
After graduating from university majoring in marketing and moving back to Hong Kong, Alex started working in the fitness industry as a digital marketer. He would eventually move on to pursue a career in public relations, where he worked with international luxury, fashion and F&B brands on a daily basis. When Leon (now the other co-founder of STRYDE) approached Alex to start a venture in fitness, Alex jumped on the opportunity to once again be a part of this ever-growing industry, to help individuals become healthier and better versions of themselves.
