Short bio of HKRITE Dr Gloria Yao
“Dr Yao has considerable research experience of textile and clothing. She played a key role in a number of research projects on the textiles and clothing area. Her research specialises in textile/clothing-human body interactions with focus areas on textiles material and skin, textiles functions and its health impaction, sportswear design and human physiology evaluation.
Dr Yao has published over a dozen papers in refereed journal and 30 papers in refereed conference proceedings. She has written several books/chapters on Technology Roadmap of Textile and Clothing Industry and Denim Industry of Mainland China and Hong Kong. She is a reviewer to Textile Research Journal, Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, International Journal of Dermatology and editor to Journal of Fiber Bioengineering and Informatics. She held post-doctoral fellowship of the New Zealand Wool Research Institute in the University of Otago. She is the director of Textile Bioengineering Informatics Society.”

Responsible for our Circular Fashion Programme initiatives and pop-up shops, Nastasia plays a key role in driving the adoption of circular models of consumption with the general public. Nastasia's background is in marketing and broadcast production, and her prior career includes a production role at UK charity, Comic Relief. A self-confessed charity-shop junkie (searching for 'funky' outfits at her local Heart Foundation shop in Coventry on Saturdays as a teen), she is always on the lookout for affordable second-hand treasures. Since moving to Hong Kong four years ago, Nastasia has experienced a heightened awareness of the issue of waste in our society, and she is committed to making changes in her lifestyle to lessen her impact on the environment.

Short bio of Lan Kwai Fong Group Yaron Jacobs
Yaron is the Chief Commercial Officer of the Lan Kwai Fong Group, where he previously co-founded and leaded the online media publisher LKFTV. Yaron has 18 years of experience in the media and marketing industry and has worked in Asia for over 13 years. He previously introduced the leading global television network FashionTV to China and the rest of Asia, he was also the CEO at FashionTV and this lifestyle channel was listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange. Yaron also served as Executive Director of Retail Marketing for Sands China Ltd.
He acted as a growth advisor to several leading ad-tech companies and founded a CRM and an E-Commerce start-up.
Yaron holds an EMBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a MSc from the London School of Economics, a Diploma in Technology Management from UC Berkeley and a BA in Business from the University of Westminster.
