Back by popular demand, we are hosting a second product testing event aimed at encouraging early and continuous user engagement during development of digital or physical products and services.
Testing is one of the best ways to validate design decisions, to align stakeholder understanding, to reduce risk and increase value. Testing can problems, but can also reveal underlying human wants and needs, leading to increased ”user satisfaction”, customer engagement and product relevance.
In this active and fun workshop, Design Strategist Neil Williamsand Experience Designer Phoebe Yu will introduce best practice for testing, while participants will have the chance to ”speed test” their products and ideas.
If you have a product or idea at any stage of development and you want to gain user feedback, this could be the event for you. Presentation places are strictly limited, but small teams are welcome to join and share in the learning experience.
In the session Neil and Phoebe will cover:
● Why taking a human-centred approach to product development matters
● Being open to, and actively encouraging criticism
● Best practice and methods for effective product testing
● When to apply design research in the project cycle
● Who to test with and how many tests is enough
