Kafnu and StackTrek are excited to invite Kyle Yeung and Joe Cheng, founders of Roots – an app that helps homebuyers get the best mortgage possible – to share about their journey from a background in finance, to leveraging technology to create a FinTech startup. There will be networking and a question and answer session, so come prepared to learn more!

Roots consists of 2 co-founders, Kyle Yeung and Joe Cheng, both graduated from the HKUST MBA earlier this year. Kyle spent 2 years in a licensed financial institution where he specialized in the mortgage sector before MBA, managing a HKD 30 million mortgage portfolio, which trended at a 15% yield after leverage. That is also where he came up with the concept of Roots.
Pre-MBA, Joe was an associate business manager in the private wealth management industry. With one of his biggest achievements in administering client transfer of 3,000+ accounts and over USD 10 billion asset under management for the Julius Baer – Bank of America Merrill Lynch integration.
