Cryptocurrencies have been dominating headlines over the past year more than any other asset class - for a very good reason. The industry is booming, yet few people understand the very basics of it.

In line with the efforts of the Government of Hong Kong SAR, Decentralised Institute Asia takes on the mission to make blockchain, bitcoin and other coins in the crypto space understandable and thus accessible for everyone with the city's premier specialised education provider OWN Academy. Staying true to the OWN philosophy, we invited real world practitioners and some of the thought leaders in the industry to share practical, applicable knowledge. 

Beyond delivering the most authentic, up-to-date information, we will bring our students a real world, hands on experience, looking deeply into the core technology, all the way to how to trade the results of it. We will do this by understanding the legal implications and showcasing the risks that are associated with cryptocurrencies. 

We are not here to promote trading or speculation. We simply would like to make sure that our students get an understanding of the realities beyond the hype, whilst highlighting the legitimate possibilities that the blockchain technology and decentralised business models are opening up for the future.

Due to the nature of the content, this class is dedicated to students of the age of 18 years and above.
