Join us for the screening of "A Plastic Ocean", an award-winning documentary film directed by Craig Leeson that explores the impact of plastic pollution on the world's oceans and marine life. A film that Sir David Attenborough describes as “the most important film of our time” will be streamed online, followed by a discussion with Craig Leeson.
A Plastic Ocean will take you on a journey to various parts of the world, including the Indian Ocean, Australia, and the Pacific Ocean, to explore the extent of plastic pollution and its devastating effects on marine life and human health. Through interviews with scientists, researchers, and activists, the film shows how plastic pollution is not just an aesthetic problem but a serious threat to the planet's ecosystem.
The 99-minute documentary has been selected for screenings at conferences and festivals in the US, Canada, and UK, and was seen by U.S. President Barack Obama and environmentalists Sylvia Earle and Jane Goodall. You will be able to ask Craig Leeson all the questions about the documentary and his upcoming projects.
