Steel Available is an online marketplace dedicated to steel products likes pipes, fittings and valves for the energy sector. We aim to make sourcing easier, faster and more transparent for heavy industries around the world. Our objective is to bring digital transformation into this conservative and fragmented market.
We have been selected in December 2015 for 6months accelerator program at blueprint sponsored by Swire Group and in April 2016 for 6 weeks Startup Next accelerator program sponsored by Techstars.
Within the small but enthusiastic team based in Hong Kong, you will actively take part in the development of the project with challenging missions.
You will report to the Founder in Hong Kong and will work closely with the rest of the team.
Job description
• Develops business opportunities via well-established contacts and potential clients
• Identifies opportunity by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential clients as well as exploring opportunities.
• Continuously engage users and customers to drive revenue and generate future business
• Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts;
• Target weekly sales and achieve it.
• Update sales reports weekly, identify problems and work with the Team to improve sales production
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
• University graduate in Engineering, Commerce, or Related Disciplines
• Minimum 1 -3 years relevant experience; experience in the industry /energy sector and work experience in Asia; IT skills related to web development is a plus
• Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, and Professionalism.
• Detailed oriented execution, and empathic when dealing with users and customers.
• Ability to demonstrate effective and balanced use of all methods of communication, including social media, phone call and written correspondence.
• Analytical thinker comfortable with managing complex sales cycles.
• Fluent in English, other European language, Asiatic language and Mandarin would be a plus.
