ABOUT BITSPARK

Bitspark is a cryptocurrency remittance platform for individuals and money transfer businesses. We provide an easy to use cloud service to send and receive money around the world utilising cryptocurrency like Bitcoin for transfers without the need for banks. We enable our customers to access better rates, faster payments and better financial access anywhere in the world. Our customers range from overseas foreign workers, money transfer operators and businesses.

We’re a startup that began in 2014 with a distributed team operating in several time-zones with backing from local and international investors. We have raised significant funding privately and through a public token sale. We are now looking to grow our Hong Kong team with a particular focus on welcoming an inbound marketing genius to join us and help expand our services to more businesses and individuals in APAC.

THE POSITION

Bitspark is looking for an all in one marketing superstar who takes initiative, is agile, diverse in skill and is creative. Your job will be to plan and execute online and offline campaigns to target new and existing customers while promoting Bitspark’s brand and product offering across our various marketing channels. This role will also involved working with sales to determine best strategies to attract Bitspark’s audience. 

Our customers are predominantly small to large money transfer businesses, online money transfer companies, cryptocurrency users and also foreign workers that send money home. You will be expected to generate and execute marketing campaigns to attract and convert them, leading to more business for the company.

This position is for someone who is quick to learn and isn’t afraid to try new ideas and wants to be part of an exciting cutting edge company. We are growing quickly!

Prior cryptocurrency knowledge is not necessary.

Salary Negotiable.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unifying company and product branding and streamlining Bitspark product offerings on individual channels.
  • Maintaining and growth hacking Bitspark’s community.
  • Generate interest, traffic and convert customers through social media ad campaigns.
  • Creating marketing budgets for events, ad spends etc.
  • Working with sales to create successful campaigns.
  • Organising events end to end from event sourcing, sponsorships, material creation.
  • Creating marketing partnerships.
  • Creating meaningful content for the company blog, social media and forums.
  • Help to develop the Sales and Marketing playbook. We’re a startup that’s experimenting with various marketing tactics. You’ll be instrumental in generating ideas, testing, documenting, and optimizing the marketing activities so that we establish a framework as we scale.
  • Monitor and optimize performance. You will be in charge of setting, tracking and improving customer acquisition in consultation with the management team.

  • You are organized, data-driven and like having clear metrics to measure the success of sales leads and adjust things when they're not working out as intended.
  • Willing to learn new systems and software.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Experience isn’t everything but it helps - smarts, being quick to learn and working hard is most important. No-one will have all of these, but here are some qualities or experiences we value:

  • Taking an idea and running with it. Confident in failure and can learn.
  • Creative to the bone and passionate about the audience we are reaching.
  • Well versed in marketing tools.
  • Previous affiliation/experience with migrant worker communities and their needs for money transfers.
  • Online/growth marketing, analytics, metrics tracking.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Additional languages always help but not compulsory. Beneficial to have understanding of any of the following: Mandarin / Cantonese / Bahasa Indonesian / Tagalog / Vietnamese / Hindi / Urdu
